This article will assist in using music playback functionality on the MX-700-series media player. This is clumsy but quite workable once you master the order of key presses.

Using the Jukebox

Method #1

1. Enter MUSIC mode;
2. Navigate into your chosen music folder;
3. FIRST press the 'PLAY / PAUSE' button of the remote with the folder selected to commence playing the folder content;
4. THEN press the 'JUKEBOX' button on the remote and press 'ENTER';

• NOTE - The order of 'PLAY' then 'JUKEBOX' is very important!

1. Once in this position, you can use the arrow buttons on the remote to jump to the previous or next song in your playlist.

• NOTE - Sub-folder content will not play in this manner - only first-level content.

Method #2 - Playing all content of a folder

1. Enter MUSIC mode;
2. Navigate to your chosen music folder (do not enter it);
3. FIRST press the 'PLAY / PAUSE' button of the remote with the folder selected to commence playing the folder content;
4. THEN press the 'JUKEBOX' button on the remote;

• NOTE - Sub-folder content will not play in this manner - only first-level content.

Using the 'MY LIST' playlist function

1. In 'MUSIC' mode, navigate to your music files;
2. Select one music file you wish to add to the 'MY LIST' playlist using the up and down buttons on the remote;
3. Press the 'ADD' button on the remote to add a song title to 'MY LIST';
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have completed your playlist;
5. Press the Right Arrow ( > ) on the remote to display 'MY LIST';
6. Highlight and press 'DELETE' on the remote should you wish to remove a song from the 'MY LIST' playlist;
7. FIRST press the 'PLAY / PAUSE' button on the remote to commence playing;
8. THEN press the 'JUKEBOX' button on the remote and press 'ENTER';

• NOTE - The order of 'PLAY' then 'JUKEBOX' is very important!

1. Once in this position, you can use the arrow buttons on the remote to jump to the previous or next song in your playlist;

Music playback functionality

1. Use the 'RND/SEQ' button on the remote to toggle between random and sequential song playback.
2. Use the 'REPEAT' button on the remote to toggle between different loop modes:

• (1) repeats the current song indefinitely;
• (A) repeats all play-listed songs indefinitely;
• If this icon is missing then the loop function is off.

1. Press the 'INFO' button on the remote to display the media info tags of the current song on-screen; pressing INFO again will hide the media info and display your playlist once more.
