The polls are open again - an all-new vote on what new features we would most like to see in future firmware from Unicorn.
We've put together a list of several features from our feature requests forum, where members can vote on what they would most like to see in a firmware upgrade - by this we mean a real next-generation upgrade, not a bug-fix release!
Once more - this is not an official forum, so we have no control over what Unicorn choose to put into firmware upgrades, but surely if we could come up with a system that shows what we as users are interested in, then we could get the manufacturers to sit up and take note...
Vote for your most wanted feature in each category - choose a GUI feature, a networking feature, a file that you most want supported, a desired multimedia feature and a real use for the LCD screen - go wild!
Feel free to follow a link for any feature and post your comments...
Poll rules:
You have to register as a member to vote;
You have to vote to see the results;
Voting open until January 1 2009.
Vote for each category (5 votes) - submit one vote at a time.
(If you don't see the results of each category then you haven't voted for it!)
My apologies that I'm not around any more - I've given away all my Mvix kit as it is no longer supported by the manufacturer.
I can be found on Mede8erforum.com should you want to get in touch. |

I would like them to make all the code available like we all thought it was. Then we have an opportunity to add some of these features ourselves.

I agree the lack of MKV and 2.64 support as promised put this unit at the bottom. every other unit on the mkt supports this file structure except the Mvix, and nothing touch's the Mvix's features except in this field.

I'd like to see a feature for virtual folders which you could assign multiple real folders/shares to for joint file listing. Ie: 4 shares combined into one single list.

New Poll - Vote for your favourite feature 3 Nov 2008 12:51 AM EST/EDT - Post#7182
Could you be referring to the use of 'meta-data'?
That would be great for searches and multiple categories.
Then one could sort media according to meta-data properties and group one's content, for example 'Kid's movies' or 'Action'...
My apologies that I'm not around any more - I've given away all my Mvix kit as it is no longer supported by the manufacturer.

All Features are necessary as media community is getting to next level at unbelievable pace. I am sure Mvix guys will be busy getting to new product line-up and may not even bother about their existing/past line-up. I hope they come up with an exchange/swap offers along with the new line up.
Cheers,
